My most effective marketing video (and WHY)

Today I wanna talk about one of my most popular videos that I use in the top of all of my funnels. You’ve probably seen it if you are on my email list, it’s called “I just deleted 2,000 emails”.

The video is about how I delete a couple of thousand emails every month from people that don’t click on my emails. And the reason I delete them is I want to focus on people that actually want to interact with me. I only want to talk with people who are interested.

What I want to focus on today is WHY I made that video, and why I use it at the top of almost all of my sales funnels.

The video is really me communicating my core values as an introduction for me to my audience. It’s me explaining what is important to me, and what to expect from me going forward.

It’s trust marketing. It’s being transparent and earning the right to market to my audience.

The video is shot on my iPhone, instead of something more fance. It feels (and is) authentic, it’s more real. I introduce my dog in the video, and she is really a recurring character in a lot of my videos. Again, making me more human – more real.

That’s why I see a completely different relationship with the people who have watched this video before interacting with me. That’s why it’s so powerful.
